Fumimoto Sake Brewery: A Bridge Connecting Japan and the World

Fumimoto Sake Brewery President and CEO, Hironari Okayama

Crafting cherished local sake using locally grown rice and the pristine waters of Shimanto.

Sake is an important part of Japanese culture, used in both Shinto rituals and Buddhist ceremonies. As Japanese people, it is something very significant to us. By producing sake, we have the opportunity to preserve and convey the essence of our region and culture in a different form.

We not only share this with people in Japan but also with people around the world. Sake, made from rice—a precious gift from nature—was likely cherished and celebrated by people in the past with shouts of “Banzai!” Today, we celebrate with a toast, enjoying conversations and joy together. We see sake as a vital connection between Japan and the world, and we aim to continue exploring and enhancing this bond in the future.
