The Differentiation Strategy of an Up-and-Coming Poultry Farm Owner: Focusing on What Should Be Normal

I often receive attention for my unique poultry farming style, which includes free-range and organic certification methods, setting me apart from others. However, I don’t consider this to be special; it’s simply the obvious way to do things. I often hear that I am very particular, but I don’t consciously think so. I would rather not do poultry farming at all if it weren’t for these methods.

In English, this method is called cage-free. On the other hand, if it includes grazing, it’s called free range. We practice both of them. We use simple substance feeds. For example, we purchase ingredients like barley and rice bran separately and adjust the mix ratios and combinations according to the season and the birds’ health.

Our customers are those who specifically request organic products. Currently, Europeans and Americans are more conscious about organic products than Japanese. We receive inquiries from foreign companies. For example, we wholesale to “Aman Tokyo” and “Kimpton Shinjuku”.

I want the chickens to be free, and I think the most important thing is that the people who work here should also be free to enjoy their work. That is the most important thing when working.
